Colorado Parks and Wildlife (CPW) reminds anglers that the 2024-25 fishing season is officially here.
The 2024-25 fishing license is valid from March 1, 2024, through March 31, 2025. Regulations and pricing for annual, daily, and multi-day fishing licenses are in the 2024 Colorado Fishing Brochure (Fishing in Colorado) (In Spanish). For individuals ages 18 to 64, a $12.15 Habitat Stamp is required upon first license purchase for the year. Youth under 16 can fish with a rod for free, and CPW provides opportunities throughout the season to learn how to fish..
Coloradans and non-resident visitors can purchase fishing licenses onlineby phone at 1-800-244-5613, at a local CPW officeor from authorized sales agents throughout the state. CPW does not receive general tax dollars, and fishing license sales support all statewide fish hatcheries and stocks.
When planning a fishing trip, download the My CPW app. My CPW is the official mobile app for the CPW license and pass purchase website CPWshop.com and includes access to a list of active products in your CPWShop.com account, CPWShop mobile purchases, links to fishing reports, PDFs of the latest brochures, and more.
Resident anglers will purchase fishing licenses the same way as in the past and receive a printed physical license, but now have the option to display it within myColorado mobile app. See the myColorado FAQ document for more information about accessing your resident fishing license within the Wallet app.
